Strong teaching presence

  •  Vygotsky (1978), zone of proximal development optimal learning is achieved through both teacher’s guidance and social interactions. The instructor's presence can increase student motivation and involvement. Organization of information management that is accessible for students to interact with others.  

  • The teacher's presence enhances students' participation using communication prompts. Presenting intentional feedback in a timely manner, model respectful interactions and best practices. Establish clear objectives, course topics, expectations, and instructions for participating in the course. Strong teacher presence includes using various methods of communication to promote open communication to promote open communication. The teacher candidate demonstrates an attitude of care towards students engaging in compassionate and respectful interactions daily.
