Theory of the zone of proximal development, suggests that learning is conquered when students gain experiences through teacher's guidance and peer-to-peer involvement. it is the distance between what a person can learn on his own and the potential for learning with an instructor or a community of peers (Vygotsky, 1978).

Design a curriculum that encompasses learning through exploration, interactions, and collaboration.

Instructors must maintain a professional tone and boundaries in their correspondence.

Be sure to include an explanation of your communication policy on your class syllabus on information pertaining to how students should contact you. For example, virtual office hours, email communication, and other forms of contact.
