DESCRIPTION

Purpose of formative assessment is to improve the learning process for students. This approach is determining what it will take to motivate the student to achieve the desirable outcome. 

Formative Assessment

Formative assessment approaches test students' knowledge and distinguish the strengths and weaknesses through academic work. The focus should be helping students identify areas acquired by the students and areas that may need additional attention.

Discussion, considered as a form of personal communication. 

Identified as Formative assessment. 

Identify knowledge of the standards in use; 

  The children will engage in (Standard). 

Discussion forums are authentic assessment, as it encourages learners to comprehend how to contribute effectively. 

The goal is to increase the likelihood for learners to reflect by engaging in feedback. 

Individual communication encourages students to share links and establish connections with former knowledge and skills

Demonstrates a Christian ethic care for learners by being eager about learning through displaying respect, compassionate, and being courteous interacting with others.

Diverse formative assessment tools such as Kahoot, Google forms, Plickers, Mentimeter, Wooclap, Nearpod, Quizizz , Pear deck, Flipgrid, and Edpuzzle are designed to help students retain information.

The students will discuss the value of physical activity and social interactions through self-expression.

Unit 2.1 Discussion Exercise: The students will engage in an online discussion with classmates.

A checklist will be conducted to determine if the learner contribute effectively, completed the required tasks, submitted before or at the time due.

1. Name an activity that you learned during Physical Education class? Describe the activity and the movements involved. Do you still engage in this particular activity?

2. Respond to at least one post with meaningful responses regarding the material posted. Respond respectfully. Example- I agree ... I like that you mentioned ___ ... Share a similar experience related to the information.
